The first quilt I created for my color wheel series of twelve 12”x12” monochromatic art quilts. This small abstract collage is made with commercial fabrics, quilting, a touch of embroidery and beading. They were exhibited as a group in galleries and as a special exhibit at a national quilt exhibition in Springfield, IL, and a number of them have found new homes. I actually would call them “mostly monochromatic” as I tend to add touches of other colors to make them more exciting!
